About Michelle Impey | AVP, Fine Art & Collections Risk Consulting Manager, North America, Chubb
With 25+ years in the art and insurance industries, Impey leads a national team delivering collection management services and advises private collectors on protecting fine art, jewelry, wine, and other valuables—covering preservation, display, security, transportation, and storage. She has presented at ICEFAT, American Society of Appraisers, Wharton’s Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance Program, and PRMA. Previous roles include ACE, Fireman’s Fund, and Chubb; earlier work as an art researcher in NYC. She holds a BA in art history and French (Bowdoin), studied at the École du Louvre and Sorbonne/Paris III, completed NYU Appraisal Studies (Fine & Decorative Arts), holds GIA’s Applied Jewelry Professional diploma, is a licensed P&C broker, and a certified infrared thermographer.
About Jessica Silverman | Director of Conservation, Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts (CCAHA)
Silverman oversees the quality and timeliness of all lab services at CCAHA, including conservation treatment, preservation, housing and framing, digital imaging, and conservation surveys. After a two-year Post-graduate Fellowship, she joined CCAHA in 2010, working as a Paper Conservator and Preservation Consultant; she became Senior Paper Conservator in 2015 and Director of Conservation in 2019. Previous internships include the American Philosophical Society, the Walters Art Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Winterthur Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and private laboratories in Chicago. She holds an MS in Art Conservation (WUDPAC) and a BA in Art History (UIC), with minors in Chemistry and Museum Studies. She is a Professional Associate of AIC (Book & Paper; Research & Technical Studies) and a member of the Philadelphia Area Conservation Association, Society of Winterthur Fellows, and Association of Print Scholars.

Properly inventorying and storing fine art, jewelry, and archival collections
Emergency planning for irreplaceable objects
Steps to take when items are damaged (salvage, conservation, restoration)
Understanding valuation and documentation for insurance purposes
Case studies with insights from local experts
Registrants will receive a “Protecting Your Collections” reference handout (developed with Chubb) outlining clear steps for documentation, environmental monitoring, and insurance review.
