Since its debut, in 1976, Fresh Air with Terry Gross has featured insightful conversations with the leading voices in contemporary arts and issues. In 2015 January, WHYY received a grant from the Council of Library and Information Resources (CLIR) to enhance the metadata of 8,000 Fresh Air shows that aired between 1976 through 2015, and to make those shows available for research and scholarship through Worldcat. This year we have two interesting programs exploring the archive. Guests are welcome to join both or either of the programs.

4-5:30 pm – Join us for a Wikipedia edit-a-thon, where we will create or enhance the Wikipedia pages of culturally notable figures who have appeared on Fresh Air. We will also be adding authoritative citations and references to improve the quality of the existing Wikipedia pages. You can sign up for the edit-a-thon at http://bit.ly/2c8kl2p.

From 5:30 -7pm – You can also join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the WHYY studios, listen to selected gems from the Fresh Air Archives, and talk to the producers of the program.
