Come and meet some of the loyal people who worked for John and Lydia Morris at their country home once known as Compton–now known as the Morris Arboretum. This household workforce made it possible for the Morris siblings to entertain family, friends, and dignitaries in fine style. When the Morrises traveled around the world, this faithful staff was always there to bid them bon voyage and welcome them home. Who were these individuals? Where did they come from? What did they do at Compton? Where did they end up? Dr. Munro will answer these and other questions as she tells the stories of Ellen, Nellie, Jetta, Katie, and other lifelong servants who gave themselves to their work wholeheartedly.
