The PACSCL DEI committee invites you to attend a panel discussion about confronting and dismantling long-standing pejorative language in library cataloging and description on October 13th 3-4:30 PM via Zoom. The event will center around the documentary, Change the Subject, as well as a discussion around how some PACSCL institutions are enacting change in their cataloging practices. Panel speakers will include: Jill E. Baron, Librarian for Romance Languages & Latin American Studies (Dartmouth Library) and co-director of Change the Subject documentary; Deborah Bishov, Social Sciences & Instructional Design Librarian (Villanova University Falvey Memorial Library); Demian Katz, Director of Information Technology (Villanova University Falvey Memorial Library); and Jennifer Baxmeyer, Interim Assistant UL for Metadata Services (Princeton University Library).
