Ben Franklin was a 18th century Renaissance Man – world traveler, printer, scientist, inventor, and politician are just some of the titles that can be attributed to the famous Philadelphian. Many of his thoughts, ideas and creations still influence our lives today. In the spirit of his legacy, the “”Ben Franklin’s World”” podcast examines a wide variety of topics in American History from the 17th to 19th centuries.

Produced by the Omohundro Institute, one of the leading scholarly organizations in the world dedicated to the study of early America, the show examines the nation’s founding, slavery, sailing ships and early American views on death—to name just a few topics!
