Scrapbooking has a long history of merging printed image, text, art, and writing. Some scrapbooks look like diaries, while others may be placed in already published books or bibles. Others look more like the literal definition, a book of blank pages for sticking clippings, drawings, or pictures.

Rosemont College was founded in 1921 as a women’s college and encouraged education through the liberal and creative arts. Students created scrapbooks and diaries reflecting their creative time as students.

For Archives Month, join Collections Manger Caitlin Angelone, as Gertrude Kistler Memorial Library displays some of their scrapbooks and printed images reflecting student life throughout the ages. Help contribute to our own scrapbook through art, pictures, and writing.

Some snacks will be available.

The event takes place in the information commons of the Gertrude Kistler Memorial Library.
