Join historians of the Clubs of Boathouse Row for an early afternoon discussion of the history of rowing in Philadelphia, and the recent efforts to preserve that history. Agenda will include:

Introductions of the Historians
Brief overview of Philadelphia rowing history, including the development of Boathouse Row and the recent explosive growth of the sport nationwide
Recent efforts to preserve Boathouse Row history, archives and historical objects
Viewing of some significant historical objects displayed in the boat houses
Weather permitting, a walking tour of Boathouse Row and brief visits to selected boathouses

Discussions will be very interactive, and Q&A is encouraged.
