The Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts has been preserving our world’s cultural heritage here in Philadelphia since 1977. Our Open House is an opportunity to glimpse behind-the-scenes of the work that we do and to meet our skilled and knowledgeable staff. In our state-of-the-art lab, our conservators and imaging and housing specialists will share some of the exciting projects that they are working on from institutional, corporate, and personal archives, including rare books, unique works of art, and historical documents and photographs. Our Preservation Services team will also be on hand to talk about the work that they do in supporting cultural institutions and through community education and outreach programs.
