People’s Media Camp makes a comeback this year, Saturday and Sunday, October 3–4, as a a two-day gathering for grassroots preservationists, archivists, community historians, artists, and memory workers to share skills, stories, and strategies for resisting erasure and imagining free collective futures.

People’s Media Camp will be a collaborative space for the region’s grassroots preservationists, archivists, community historians, and memory workers to come together, connect, learn from one another, name the challenges we face, affirm each other’s efforts, and develop collective strategies for sustaining our work against the rise of fascism.

Through workshops, skill-shares, round-tables, breakout sessions, screenings, collective mapping, art, and a free vendor market, we will explore reciprocity, resource redistribution, and community activation practices in grassroots archiving and preservation. In doing so, we will also celebrate each other and build energy for what’s to come!
