5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: The Harpoon Salon — A VIP Fundraiser on the fantail of the Cruiser Olympia. Sing along with sea shanties, savor seafaring eats, and sip a glass of wine, all while supporting The Rosenbach and Independence Seaport Museum with a festive evening on land and sea.

7:30 pm – 11:59 pm: Marathon reading begins and continues until the book is done, roughly 24 hours later! Readings will happen throughout Independence Seaport Museum including from the deck of the Schooner Diligence and terraces overlooking the Delaware River.

Saturday, 10/20/2018

12:00 am – 8:00 pm: Readings continue from midnight until the completion of the novel, which is anticipated between 7:00 and 8:00 pm

11:30 am – 2:30 pm: Queequeg’s Chowder Tasting — Sample chowders from local restaurants, or just relish a bowl!
