A half century ago the modern LGBTQ movement was born out of the flames of the Stonewall Riots. In the years that immediately followed, a vibrant, diverse and explicitly radical Queer Liberation movement emerged across the United States. This exhibit tells the hidden history of LGBTQ politics and the radical left in the three decades following Stonewall, and seeks to shine a spotlight on the anarchists, rabble-rousers, reds and revolutionaries who demanded more than just their rights; they demanded a world without oppression and exploitation.
