Rare books line the shelves. Each object is an irreplaceable historic treasure that tells part of Eastern State’s complex story.

Every Thursday evening in October at 7:00 pm, Erica Harman, Manager of Archives and Records, will bring a different selection of Eastern State artifacts out of the darkroom and into the night. What can these objects tell us about life at the penitentiary? What do they help reveal about what it’s like to be incarcerated today?
