Join the Chestnut Hill Conservancy for the inaugural Night of Lights 10×10 History Jam, a fast-paced evening of stories, images, and music exploring Chestnut Hill and Northwest Philadelphia. The format is simple: 10 speakers. 10 images each. Five minutes each. Each presenter will use 10 automatically advancing images to tell one focused story. A local DJ will play brief sets between presentations, creating a lively, social rhythm throughout the evening.

Stories will explore different aspects of Chestnut Hill and Northwest Philadelphia. Topics may include people and communities, architecture and design, landscapes, arts and culture, businesses and institutions, transportation, preservation and conservation, neighborhood change, and lesser-known local histories.

Together, the presentations will offer different perspectives on the people, places, landscapes, ideas, and experiences that have shaped Northwest Philadelphia.

The 10×10 History Jam is free and open to the public with support from the Philadelphia 2026 Neighborhoods Celebration grant as part of the 2026 Night of Lights. Night of Lights is also presented in partnership with DesignPhiladelphia and Archives Month Philly.
