In Partnership with Archives Month Philly, The Historical Medical Library is bringing our collections ‘Out of the Archives’ and into Ashhurst Hall for a Fall Open House and Adopt-a-Book event on Thursday, October 15th. Meet our Archivist and Librarians, see a showcase of Archival materials hand-picked by staff, and learn more about the work we do!
At this free event, visitors will have the opportunity to support the Historical Medical Library and our Library Preservation Fund, helping us care for our world-class library and archival collection of the history of medicine, through either individual donation or by ‘Adopting’ a unique piece of medical history in our care! With adoption, you’ll receive a special card with a gift, as well as a note of support in the adopted item’s catalog record. Celebrate a milestone, honor an achievement, or leave a legacy for a loved one, all while providing essential funding for our work.
Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have a craft that they can take home as a memento of their visit!
Registration is not required, but is strongly encouraged.
